Dear Friends, Clients, and Associates—
We’re looking to a bright future with continued growth for
our customers, potential customers and Speer Mechanical. In
that spirit, we are proud to announce two, new, officer appointments.
The moves come as part of our company’s strategic and succession
plans to move our company and our customers successfully forward
into the next decade.
Effective immediately, John Harper is the new President of Speer
Mechanical. Phil McEvoy is the new Vice President, Operations.
John has diligently fulfilled numerous capacities within Speer
Mechanical over the last 25 years to prepare him for his duties
as President. John started as a Construction Sales Engineer
and moved upward to Vice President, Preconstruction Services
and Vice President, Business Development.
His dedicated customer service and sales orientation including
estimating, pricing and problem solving for complex mechanical
projects, coupled with his engineering knowledge and expertise,
guarantees the same outstanding service and building solutions
you’ve come to expect from Speer Mechanical.
Phil has worked in a number of service capacities in his 17-year
tenure with Speer Mechanical, including his initiation into
the company as a Service Division Customer Service Representative,
moving upward to Customer Service Manager, then to Service
Division Operations Manager.
His many years successfully running the operations of our service
division have enabled him to develop a very process-oriented
approach to operational excellence and quality delivery of
our services. Phil brings this orientation to our entire operation
activities, service, construction, and special projects.
Dennis will continue to serve in his current role of President
and CEO of Speer Industries, Inc., the holding company for
Speer Mechanical and Schmid Mechanical, our Wooster, Ohio,
Speer Mechanical subsidiary.
Mike will continue as Vice President of Speer Mechanical, responsible
for construction project management and construction division
operations.
Please feel free to reach out to John and Phil as they assume their
day-to-day management responsibilities in their new roles.
We hope you will wish them as much success in their new endeavors
as we do. Thank you for sharing in our joint futures.
Sincerely,
Dennis Shuman, President
Speer Industries, Inc.
Mike Shuman, Vice President
Speer Mechanical
